May 11, 2008Bape is a name that is often faked, and the G-Shock watch line is not immune to this. eBay is filled with imposter’s so make sure you know what to look for before you buy or sell a Bape watch:
REAL:
GO APE is marked just above the fifth button (Illum. button)
The wordingss ILLUMINATOR etc. are white in colour.
Colour of the 3 eyes is the same as the main display.
Triangle corner of the box fits very well
Design of caseback is very smooth and marked ???/1000
FAKE (pictures are taken from ebay):
Go Ape has become WAR 21ST RESIST.
Those pirates still live in the era of the White version
Colour of the 3 eyes is different compared to the main display. Also notice that the Biggest eye is red in colour.
Wordings illuminator etc. is marked black instead of white.
Triangle corner is out
Design of the caseback is rough and marked ???/2000.
